What is Trauma Conscious Yoga Method?

Trauma Conscious Yoga Method is a a training for mental health professionals that combines trauma-informed yoga and somatic psychotherapies, including principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Polyvagal Theory (PVT).

As a TCYM practitioner, I am able to integrate elements of yoga into counseling sessions and groups, including breathing techniques, postures, movement, and psychoeducation.

Our body is the container of all our emotions and experiences. Using TCYM in counseling allows you to deeply connect with not only your body but your internal experiences. The combination can facilitate release and relief.
